Truly Hard Seltzer, one of North America’s most beloved hard seltzer brands, has finally arrived in Ontario. To celebrate, we’ve created the Truly Flavour Trail, a free, walkable, outdoor art experience through one of the city’s most lively neighbourhoods: Little Portugal. We have commissioned five local artists to create original pieces of art which will be placed along Dundas West between Lansdowne and Ossington from
Follow the marked spots of the Truly Flavour Trail to check out unique and eye-catching works of art
from these Toronto-based artists: Durothethird, Ness Lee, Maria Qamar, Lauren Pirie and Raquel Da

Disco Deewani &
It's The Time To Disco
Maria Qamar (b. 1991) is a first generation Canadian from a Gujarat and Bangladeshi
upbringing. Qamar’s Bollywood-beautiful women paintings with ironic cartoon speech
bubbles speak to the trials and tribulations of 21st-century Desi life.
The dreamy Disco Didis take over the Artist's favourite Dance-Karaoke bar in Toronto,
paying homage to the glitz and whimsy of 1970's Bollywood. Surrounded by lights, beauty
and music, the Disco Didis celebrate the dawn of a new era; a fresh sense of freedom in
the city, to dance and sing the night away. This installation follows Qamar's first
Museum exhibition at the MOCA Toronto, which initiated the disco series.

Nesting For Us
Ness Lee draws upon history and personal narratives to create tender and surreal
illustrations,
paintings, sculptures and installations. Based in Toronto, their work has been featured
at the
AGO, the Agnes Etherington Art Center, the Gardiner Museum, the Art Gallery of Hamilton,
as
well as galleries in New York, Boston, Los Angeles, Miami and Montreal. Lee has also
participated in mural festivals in Canada and internationally in India and
Mexico.
Ness Lee’s work is an investigation of the human form dealing with notions of intimacy
and self-love. Rather than the emphasis on the physical form, the emotional resonance
and presence is brought to focus in periods of vulnerability, discomfort and acceptance.
Using
various mediums, she explores and echoes these emotions, encompassing its tactile
experience into one that is filled with a depth of feeling, playing on humourous rhythms
and self-exploration.

Long Dusk &
Dawn of A Season
@lapirie
Lauren Pirie is a Toronto-based artist working in a range of media and scale, from
intricate ink drawings to large-scale murals and sculptural installations. Her practice
explores ideas of interconnection in relation to ecology, desire and healing; both as
themes in her own artwork and through collaborating with other artists.
Along with her other soft sculptural installation work “Long Dusk & Dawn of a Season”
illuminates inherent interconnectedness—between human and human and to our shared
environment—and at the same time, a yearning for connection. It draws on the renewed
energy and juicy sunsets of a season of longer days, and is interested in the common
threads in our personal and global mythologies, in queer ecologies, our fears and our
fantasies, and how our willingness to confront our shadows—individually and
collectively—can lead to growth and healing.
